I found my passion for working with teenagers and young adults experiencing symptoms of depression and anxiety. Through my experience, I have developed a deep understanding of how  negative thought processes and beliefs can affect an individual’s well-being and self concept. My goal through the therapeutic relationship is for the client to identify and grow positive existing concept of self. My desire is to foster hope and growth for people. 

I am credentialed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Michigan. 

I have earned a Bachelor of Science from Grace College, and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (MA) from Moody Theological Seminary. I'm responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of individuals and families.

During my clinical experience as a therapist I have had the opportunity to work with many different populations of people, often walking alongside them while experiencing a range of life circumstances. People experiencing the lowest of lows while others having found peace in forgiveness of the past.  One of the most impressive characteristics that many of the brave people I have met share is that of perseverance. My desire is to encourage perseverance in the face of difficulty, (trauma, grief, loss, mental illness, addiction) which fosters wisdom and maturity within our therapeutic relationship, while gathering new and more sustainable coping skills for continued stability in multiple areas of life. 

Areas of treatment competency: anxiety, depression, parenting support, surviving childhood sexual abuse/assault, surviving adult domestic violence and/or abuse, alcohol/drug abuse and addiction/family support, co-dependency, mood disorder, impulse-control, post-partum issues and PTSD. 

I am credentialed as a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC) in the state of Michigan. I am also certified through the Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals and the International Certification of Reciprocity Consortium as an Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor.

I have earned a bachelor of Arts from Anderson University and Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology (MA) from Moody Theological Seminary in Plymouth, MI.

My passion is working with teenagers and young adults to help them manage through life difficulties and help them grow in seeing their full potential. Therapy is an individual experience, and each need is different. I believe that our experiences are our superpowers in learning and growing. Just like a superhero in a movie,  they need to learn and change to their new powers and therapy can help support that growth. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, oppositional behaviors, sadness, struggles adjusting in school, struggles in peer relationships or family struggles I am here to listen, support and help foster growth. 

I have experience working in a variety of settings and utilizing creative methods tailored to your individualized needs. I have a passion for tapping into individual's creative sides like with music, art, and music. I also have a passion for connecting physical activity in supporting overall mental health and physical health. Promoting balance with and individuals mind, body, and spirit.  

I am credentialed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Michigan. I use a variety of strength-based approaches to help clients reach their goals. I am also trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and can utilize informed approaches in supporting growth. I look forward to meeting with you and learning how I can best support you in being the best version of yourself.

I love to help people in all stages of life who want to take steps towards healing!

I enjoy working with kids, teens and adults processing through different struggles they are facing.  One of my passions in counseling is working with children.  I love providing children the ability to learn new ways to approach life's transitions and challenges. When life doesn't go as expected, often children are left to adapt on their own. Having the right tools can change everything.

Ultimately, my desire and heart is to help my clients walk away feeling heard and encouraged. Everyone needs someone to come alongside them to be on their team and help them feel valued.
