Feel Like Life Is Too Much?

DBT & CBT Can Help You Regain Control, Confidence, and Calm

Life can feel overwhelming sometimes—whether you’re a teen, college student, or parent. Maybe emotions feel out of control, anxiety is constant, or you’re stuck in negative thoughts that won’t let up. You might be feeling lost, frustrated, or unsure of what to do next.

You're not alone—and you don’t have to figure this out by yourself.
At Evergreen Hope Counseling, we use proven therapy approaches like DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) to help people just like you feel better, manage emotions, and build the kind of life you actually want.

What Is DBT?

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is all about learning how to handle big emotions, stressful situations, and relationship challenges without becoming overwhelmed.

DBT teaches skills in four main areas:

  • Mindfulness – learning how to stay calm and focused in the present
  • Distress Tolerance – building tools to get through hard moments without falling apart
  • Emotion Regulation – understanding your emotions and managing them in healthier ways
  • Interpersonal Effectiveness – learning how to speak up, set boundaries, and build better relationships
DBT is especially helpful for anyone who feels:
  • Emotionally sensitive or reactive
  • Stuck in cycles of anxiety, anger, or sadness
  • Constantly overwhelmed or out of control
  • Like relationships are a constant source of stress
  • Unsure of how to cope without shutting down or lashing out

What Is CBT?

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) focuses on the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It helps you notice and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns—and replace them with more realistic, supportive thoughts.

CBT is great if you struggle with:

  • Constant worry or anxious thoughts
  • Depression or low motivation
  • Negative self-talk or low self-esteem
  • Panic attacks or fear-based thinking
  • Feeling stuck in habits or moods you can’t shake

CBT gives you tools to understand your inner world and start making real, lasting changes.
