Getting your child ready for school and when it’s time to walk out the door they say their stomach aches. Trying to have date night - finally! - but when you get ready to leave your child with the sitter they start crying and begging you not to leave them. Constantly reassuring your child that they will be okay as you're on your way to drop them off at soccer practice. Do these situations sound familiar? Watching your child struggle with anxiety is hard! 

Maybe you have tried taking your child to see a therapist to address their anxiety or maybe they refused to go, either way you are still feeling like you are at a loss, but you just wish you didn’t feel like you had to walk on eggshells to keep your child from feeling anxious. 

Here is why SPACE, Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions is an approach you should try. SPACE is a short-term parent-based treatment program for children and adolescents with anxiety-related disorders and OCD and was developed by Dr. Eli Lebowitz at the Yale Child Study Center. SPACE will help you better understand your child’s anxiety in a way that will assist you in supporting, not rescuing, your child. 

But how does my child’s anxiety improve if they are not the one going to therapy, I am?? By completing the SPACE treatment program, you will learn how to change your reactions to your 

child’s anxiety, which will ultimately help your child feel more in control of their emotions, increasing their confidence and will reduce anxious behaviors over time.

Our current cash rate is $125 per session.  Each session can be done online or in person.  This is a 12-week program with no continuing therapy afterward.
